The role of the Rail Commercial Supervisor focuses on supporting various rail activities and initiatives related to business development, project management, and implementation, as well as client relations within the railway transport sector. It requires a results-driven and detail-oriented individual capable of handling internal and external stakeholders’ coordination and activities, able to work with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment while considering project requirements under commercial aspects and ensuring project support from kick-off to close-out. Moreover, the role necessitates being well-versed in the English Language, both written and oral communication.
Responsibilities include:
- Assists in acquiring, developing, managing and maintaining key strategic clients and commercial partners;
- Supports in building and maintaining relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders in the rail transport network and other business segments as required;
- Conducts research to identify potential business opportunities in the rail Automated Fare Collection System (AFCS) and related markets;
- Collaborates in maintaining rail project pipeline through contributing relevant and updated information with respect to the railway projects initiated by both public and private companies;
- Assists in the preparation of project cost estimates, commercial proposals, bid documents, and other documentation required for project acquisition;
- Ensures compliance with project tender requirements and relevant regulations through reviewing and analysing Terms of Reference and other equivalent documents of a project;
- Supports business forecasting and planning efforts through market research and industry networking;
- Monitors team targets and revenue-generating activities related to rail and ad-hoc projects;
- Assists in implementing sales strategies, product development, and marketing programs;
- Develops a comprehensive understanding of company products, projects, and business development approaches;
- Collaborates with internal teams to fulfil project requirements and deliverables;
- Coordinates and facilitate negotiations with external parties for commercial proposals and bids;
- Manages communications related to project bids, regulatory compliance, and commercial agreements;
- Monitors project milestone progress and facilitate billing and invoicing processes;
- Collaborates with the Finance Team to address billing and invoicing concerns;
- Ensures adherence to internal and external audit requirements, regulatory standards and other related commitments.

Education and Work Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related degree(s) preferred.
- Relevant work experience in sales, business development, or project management for engineering, infrastructure or similar projects.
- Working knowledge on Automatic Fare Collection System (AFCS), payment systems, and related disciplines is preferred.
- Has work experience or familiarity with the public transport infrastructure sector, foreign-funded projects and government procurement protocols and practices is advantageous.
- Has work experience in developing, building and managing business networks and partnerships with respect to commercial opportunities in the railway public transport segment.
