
AF Payments Inc., the leading provider of Automation Fare Collection System and Contactless Cards, recently introduced beep™ QR payment acceptance via its beep™ mobile app. This new feature comes with a range of other services already available in the beep mobile app such as online loading, balance check, transaction history report, and beep rewards!
Commuters from Quezon City, Makati and Taguig will be the first to experience beep QR Payment acceptance in four partner bus operators: BGC Bus, TAS Trans, Precious Grace Transport Services, and San Agustin Transport. Beep QR payments will soon be accepted in modernized jeepneys installed with a beep validator, including LRT-1, LRT-2, and MRT-3. QR tickets provide another convenient option to pay for passengers of these P2P buses on top of using beep cards. Cashless payments offered by beep are efficient, safe and provide a hassle-free experience compared to cash.
Paying with QR ticket through the beep app is a breeze. Here is how you can do it:
- STEP 1: Open the beep™ app
- STEP 2: Select “QR Tickets” on the menu
- STEP 3: Select your operator, route, origin, and destination, and press “Buy QR Ticket”
- STEP 4: Press “Confirm” and select your “Mode of Payment”
- STEP 5: Done! You can now scan your beep QR ticket on the beep™ QR scanner device
Beep will continue to expand QR payment to other routes. Meanwhile, passengers traversing these routes may already enjoy paying via beep QR:
- BGC Bus: West Route, East Route, North Route,Central Route, Night Route, Weekend Route
- Precious Grace Trans Serv: Caypombo to North, Malolos to North, Sta Maria to North, Bocaue to North.
- San Agustin Transport: Imus to Makati & vice versa, LNC Hub to Trasierra Makati & vice versa, Las Piñas to Makati & vice versa, Noveleta to Makati & vice versa
- TAS Trans: Makati to Nuvali & Vice Versa
Please remember that the beep app can only generate one QR ticket per transaction. To generate another QR tciket, simply repeat the process. Each ticket must be used within 24 hours from the date and time of purchase, or it will be forfeited without a refund.
